Start Fresh
Before using your new extensions for the first time, we always recommend giving them a gentle wash. Sometimes, a light protective coating is left on the hair from the production process, which can cause a slight stickiness when using heated tools. Washing helps remove this residue, giving the extensions their best base for styling and creating a softer, more natural finish right from the start.
Detangle First
Before washing or styling, gently brush your extensions to avoid tangles. The Belle Brush is the perfect tool for this!
Blow-Dry for a Polished Look
For a smooth, polished finish, we recommend blow-drying your hair extensions instead of letting them air dry. Always remember to use heat protection!
Shampoo & Condition
Use salon-quality shampoo and conditioner, and consider adding a leave-in product to help keep your extensions smooth and sleek.
Protect from Heat
When using heated styling tools, always apply heat protection like you would for your natural hair. Keep the temperature below 190°C (375°F).
Add Moisture
Hair extensions need regular oil or serum application to maintain their longevity. This adds moisture and helps preserve their appearance and feel.
Repairs & Maintenance
Extensions may experience wear and tear, leading to loose or detached clips. Don’t worry! Simply grab a needle and thread to securely reattach them.
